The current trends in Kenyan music
So after my long silence, which have been using to enjoy the rise of kenyan music, that i must say is on a roll i wake up to this uproar that deejays should pay to play music.
According to this article http:// www.nation.co.ke/lifestyle/buzz/Should-DJs-pay-to-play-music/-/441236/2767306/-/j8f7jf/-/index.html in the daily nation, two associations say that it is right and the right path to take.
I cant say its wrong or right i will let you decide after we face two or three facts.
1. DO DEEJAYS CHARGE TO PROMOTE ARTISTE MUSIC?
I am just establishing myself as a deejay not yet registered but in the process, in this short time that have been establishing my connections i have had numerous approaches from artiste sending me so songs to play in gigs. I choose carefully. If deejays are charged to play, should they not charge artiste to promote their music?
2. ARTISTE,GIGS AND DEEJAYS.
